Rainer Kalthoff has more than 30 years of experience in the IT industry and brings specific experience from various positions in the disaster recovery market. As a Senior Solutions Engineer at Datto, he advises partners and customers on technical issues with a focus on business continuity and disaster recovery. Before joining Datto, Rainer Kalthoff worked as a freelance consultant specializing in customer service projects. In addition to the process automation companies ApprovalMax and Comindware, he also supported the backup provider Unitrends as a sales engineer. Prior to that, Rainer Kalthoff worked for backup provider Acronis in Germany and Asia as a global project manager, director of services and support, and technical support manager. He studied computer science at the University of Dortmund as well as media systems at the University of Weimar and has repeatedly worked for various companies in the field of data security and customer service.
